Re-entry following involvement with the criminal justice system, whether arrest or years-long incarceration, presents short- and long-term challenges. Returning from jail or prison without a place to live and other necessities puts immediate strain on returning citizens and their families. In the long term, the barriers faced by people with criminal records can represent lifelong sentences to poverty. And in Florida, it is incredibly difficult to escape these challenges. The vast majority of Floridians with criminal records carry those records and for many, the loss of their civil rights, for the rest of their lives.

That is why here at The Dirt Master one of our core values is supporting those people during re-entry and helping them find their path to a new life.
